SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time | Start September 2025 

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Poole, working with students aged 3–19 in a secondary school setting.

This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the personal and academic development of students with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties.

 

Your Role Will Include:

  • Supporting students with SEN in small groups and 1:1 sessions

  • Promoting engagement, independence, and social development

  • Assisting the class teacher with tailored learning activities

  • Supporting emotional regulation and wellbeing

  • Contributing to a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom

  • Compassionate, patient, and resilient

  • Experienced in working with children or young people with SEN

  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting student welfare

  • Enthusiastic about supporting learning and development

  • Able to work effectively as part of a team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
