Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? Teaching Personnel are working closely with a specialised SEN school in Poole and are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Education Support Worker to join our dynamic team.

The School is a renowned special educational needs school situated in Poole, dedicated to providing exceptional education and support for children aged 3 to 19 years with profound, severe, and complex needs. Our holistic approach focuses on nurturing individual talents, fostering independence, and promoting a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualised support to students with special educational needs, assisting with personal care, mobility, and sensory needs.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored educational activities, ensuring students' individual learning goals and objectives are met.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and therapists to implement personalised learning plans and behavioural strategies.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting social interaction and communication skills development.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, achievements, and behaviour, providing regular feedback to the teaching team.
- Contribute to the overall well-being and safety of students, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the unique needs of children with disabilities.
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the changing needs of students and the school environment.
- A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of school life.
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or health and social care are advantageous.
- You must be able to work full time Monday – Friday, 8:30 – 15:30. We are unable to consider any other working pattern at this time.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
