SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)

Location: Plymouth
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (Monday to Friday)
Daily Rate: £89 – £95 (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP – Ongoing

The Role:

As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Work 1:1 or with small groups of pupils with a range of SEN including autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language needs

  • Support learning, engagement, and emotional regulation throughout the school day

  • Adapt resources and use strategies to meet individual pupils’ needs

  • Liaise with class teachers and SENCOs to ensure effective support

  • Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment

Ideal For:

  • Experienced TAs or support workers

  • Graduates considering a career in education or psychology

  • Calm, patient, and resilient individuals passionate about making a difference

  • People with previous experience in schools, care settings, or youth work

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs (preferred but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
