Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Start Date: September 2025

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? Do you want to make a meaningful impact by working with primary-aged pupils who are currently outside of mainstream school settings?

We are looking for a committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our outreach team from September 2025. This full-time, term-time only role involves working directly with primary school children in the community, providing individualised support in settings such as the home, local libraries, or community centres.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support primary-aged children with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs

• Deliver personalised learning activities, designed in collaboration with teachers and therapists

• Build safe, nurturing relationships to support emotional regulation, engagement, and progress

• Encourage the development of social, emotional and communication skills in varied, real-life environments

• Maintain detailed records of student engagement and progress

• Work closely with families and other professionals to ensure consistent, holistic support

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with primary-aged children with SEN in an educational or care setting

• An understanding of child development and the challenges faced by children with additional needs

• A calm, adaptable, and empathetic approach

• The ability to work independently while remaining part of a wider supportive team

• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude

• A full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle is highly desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
