SEN Teaching Assistant, Leyland.

-          Full-time Teaching Assistant position

-          08:30 – 15:00, Mon-Fri

-          Providing one-to-one support to a child in Key Stage 3 with SEMH difficulties and challenging behaviour – experience necessary

-          Level 2 qualification minimum

A new opportunity has arisen in a Leyland-based secondary school for a Level 2 Specialist Support Assistant experienced in supporting individuals with SEMH difficulties and challenging behaviour.

You will be appointed on a full-time, temporary basis (with the potential of a permanent contract after a successful period of probation). The position is to provide one-to-one support to a child in Year 8, starting from 3rd June 2024.

The SENCo has specified that the successful candidate will have a minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) and recent experience of working alongside individuals with SEMH difficulties and challenging behaviour. A qualification in TEAM TEACH is beneficial. 

The school is a smaller than average-sized secondary school located in Leyland. Pupils with SEN are well supported and make good progress. Pupils are eager to learn.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
