Job Description:

We are currently seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to work in primary school on a full-time basis in the LE5 area.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work with students from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to Key Stage 2 (KS2), providing support on a 1:1 basis with children who have Special Educational Needs (SEN) such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and other SEN requirements.

The role is to start after the easter break on the 8th April and will be for the rest of the academic year.

Job Duties:

  • Provide 1:1 support to students with SEN.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Support students with learning difficulties or disabilities.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to meet students' needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSE qualifications

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Understanding of Special Educational Needs
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training or qualifications in SEN support
  • Experience in a similar role within an educational setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
