Position Available: SEN Teaching Assistant for Primary Schools
About the Role:
We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as SEN Teaching Assistants to work with pupils in primary schools who have an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP). As a crucial member of the team, you will provide essential support to children with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the guidance and assistance they require to thrive in the classroom environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to pupils with EHCPs, assisting them with academic tasks and personal development.
- Implement specialised strategies and interventions to meet the individual needs of each pupil.
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and SENCOs to create inclusive learning environments.
- Foster positive relationships with pupils, promoting their confidence and self-esteem.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders, including parents and external professionals.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly within a primary school setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the development of children with SEN.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education, SEN, or child development are desirable but not essential.
Location: Various locations across Hull and surrounding areas.
Hours: Full-time and part-time positions available

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
