A friendly and inclusive primary school in the Firswood (M16) area is looking to appoint a dedicated and nurturing 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within EYFS and Key Stage 1.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with children who require additional support to access learning and thrive within the classroom environment. The successful candidate will provide tailored support to pupils with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

The Role:

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support to pupils in EYFS and KS1.
• Supporting children with their academic, social, and emotional development.
• Implementing strategies outlined in EHCPs and support plans.
• Encouraging communication, independence, and positive engagement in learning.
• Assisting with emotional regulation and behaviour management where required.
• Working closely with teachers, SEND staff, and parents to ensure pupils receive consistent support.
• Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN, SEND, or SEMH needs is essential.
• Experience working within EYFS or Key Stage 1 is highly desirable.
• A patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young learners.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to adapt support strategies to meet individual pupil needs.
• A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
