Teaching Personnel are requiring an SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 2 pupil with Global Delay and Attachment Disorders. This role is in one of our highly regarded partnership school in the Fishponds area of Bristol. This position is a Full Time role for start on the 5th November. Following a successful first term there is potential for continuation.
The Role
- The student that you will be working suffers with Global Delay and Attachment disorders. They require full time support during the school day including classroom sessions, on school trips and out of classroom learning.
- You will be working with the pupil on a 1:1 basis. You will work in small intervention sessions to provide a unique and comfortable learning environment.
Successful Candidate
- Can offer previous Teaching Assistant experience or child based experience of a relevant age group.
- Previous Experience working with a child with SEN would be advantageous but the role is open to any teaching assistants who would like to develop their SEN knowledge.
- A knowledge or understanding of SEN needs.
- A confident approach to working with children
- An educational background
- An enthusiasm to learn and develop professionally
- An enhanced DBS Teaching Personnel can assist with this.
