Here at Teaching Personnel, we are looking for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant who is experienced in working with pupils with additional needs and challenging behaviours.

We are looking for a candidate who is confident, passionate and driven in supporting children and young people with additional needs. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience of working in education with at least 1 year experience working with SEN/challenging behaviours.  

The ideal candidate will have prior experience of working in a classroom and have the ability to support children and young people with SEN; in particular those with Autism, Asperger's, Social Emotional & Mental Health or behavioural issues.

The hours are working from 8:30-3:30, 5 days a week - Term time only.

The positions are challenging, yet rewarding and need someone who is strong in character.

Candidates must have qualifications in GCSE grade C and above or equivalent. Having the following qualifications will strength your application:

  • Team Teach
  • MAPA
  • Challenging behaviours in the classroom
  • Classroom management
  • NVQ SEN teaching Assistant
  • BTEC level 3 in sports
  • Other sports related qualifications

Having the above qualifications is not essential but it is desired.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
