Job description

An award-winning and highly respected SEN school group is seeking passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join their growing team in Derby. The school group specialises in providing outstanding education for children and young people with a range of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with a variety of SEN needs in both group and one-to-one settings
  • Assist the class teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Promote emotional regulation and support students with behavioural needs
  • Help implement individual learning and care plans

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (in school or alternative settings)
  • A patient, caring, and resilient attitude
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • Right to work in the UK – sponsorship is not available for this role
