Job Duties:

The SEN Teaching Assistant will support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning and development. Duties include assisting the classroom teacher in implementing individual education plans, providing one-to-one support for students, and helping to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Required Qualifications:

- Relevant qualification in education or special educational needs - Experience working with children or young people with SEN - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively in a team

A relevant qualification in education or special educational needs

Experience:

Experience working with children or young people with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:

- Understanding of SEN support strategies - Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs - Patience and empathy in working with students with SEN - Strong organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- Additional training in specific areas of SEN - First aid certification

Working Conditions:

The role may involve working in a classroom setting with students with SEN. The working hours are [insert hours] per day on a contract basis. The environment may be demanding but rewarding, requiring patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
