Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a primary school based in Congleton who are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant. This is a great opportunity for an individual with a strong background in SEN and looking to gain further experience within a mainstream school.

About the role:

  • Start-date: 29th September
  • Full-time role
  • Ongoing/long-term

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and the SENCO to ensure pupils have access to the curriculum and the necessary support. This will include 1-1 and small group interventions for both learning and emotional support. Additionally, you will support the students during regular lessons, ensuring they are able to fulfil their potential.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with young students (particularly those with SEN)
  • Good knowledge of SEN and current practices
  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils and improving their learning experience
  • Safeguarding training to be completed upon registering with Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
