Teaching Personnel are seeking a Teaching Assistant to work in an SEN school on a 1:1 basis with a pupil with ASD.

Teaching Assistant responsibilities will involve:

  • Supporting the class teacher in effectively delivering lessons
  • Supporting a child with ASD on a 1:1 basis
  • Using your initiative throughout the day for continuous problem-solving scenarios

Teaching Assistant requirements:

  • Have a passion for working with young people and providing them with the most positive educational experience possible
  • Experience of working with children and young people with additional needs
  • Be empathetic and understanding towards pupils, staff members and parents/carers
  • Eager and willing to learn new skills and attend variety of courses within the role to further your knowledge and understanding

Must have:

  • Up to date CV with a clear history of your previous work history
  •  Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Online Update Service (or to be prepared to obtain one for a fee).
  •  Overseas police check if required
  • Be able to provide 2 references covering the last 2 years
  • Legal right to work and be able to provide proof of this
  • Be able to attend face to face interview in Manchester City Centre

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
