Role Overview: As an education support/care worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse needs, including those requiring additional assistance due to learning difficulties, behavioral challenges, or special educational needs. Your experience in the care sector will be invaluable in providing personalized care and guidance to students, helping them thrive in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students with learning or behavioral needs.
  • Assisting students with personal care tasks and maintaining their well-being throughout the school day.
  • Implementing behavior management strategies to promote a positive and respectful learning environment.
  • Collaborating with teaching staff and external professionals to develop and implement personalized support plans.
  • Monitoring and documenting student progress and reporting back to relevant stakeholders.
  • Participating in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills in educational support.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a support or care worker in a relevant setting (e.g., healthcare, social care, residential care).
  • Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
