Full-Time: KS1 Teaching Assistant | Primary School in Bournemouth
Start Date: January 2026
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working with a large, vibrant, and inclusive primary school in Bournemouth, seeking a dedicated full-time Teaching Assistant to join their Year 1 classroom from January.
This position has become available due to a planned staff absence within Key Stage 1.
While recent experience in Key Stage 1 is advantageous, it’s not essential—the school warmly welcomes applicants who are enthusiastic, adaptable, and passionate about supporting young learners.

Role Overview
- Position: Year 1 Teaching Assistant
- Contract: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher and/or HLTA in delivering engaging, structured learning activities.
- Encourage positive behaviour and help maintain a calm, purposeful learning environment.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining an exciting and inclusive classroom space.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to promote pupil progress and wellbeing.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
