1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – BH11

Location: BH11 | Start: As Soon As Possible
Contract: Full-Time (long-term)

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs? One of our lovely schools in the BH11 area is looking for a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team.

About the Role

In this rewarding role, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs, helping them to engage and progress in their learning

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver tailored support

  • Encourage independence, confidence, and positive social interaction

  • Use patience, empathy, and creativity to make learning accessible and enjoyable

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Caring, patient, and committed to making a difference

  • Experienced in supporting children with SEN (desirable, not essential)

  • Resilient and adaptable, with a positive approach

  • Able to build strong relationships with pupils and staff

  • Willing to undertake or already hold an Enhanced DBS

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
