Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time (term-time)
Salary: £95 – £105 per day (dependent on experience)
About the Role
We are working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Bolton seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.
You will support students aged 11–16 with a range of Special Educational Needs including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH, helping them access the curriculum and build confidence in a structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
- Support behaviour management and emotional regulation
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with children/young people with SEN (school, care, youth work)
- Calm, patient and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential
- DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
