LOCATION:- B13

SALARY:- £445 - £550

We’re looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant. In this role, you’ll be supporting children with a range of special educational needs—helping them take part in learning, grow in confidence and independence, and achieve their very best. You’ll work closely with the class teacher, the SENCO and other supportive team members to provide personalised help, follow IEPs and help create a welcoming, inclusive classroom where every child feels valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEMH needs.

  • Help children build positive relationships and develop helpful self-regulation strategies.

  • Work with the class teacher to adapt lessons and resources so every child can access learning.

  • Encourage emotional wellbeing and resilience through positive routines and gentle guidance.

  • Support behaviour in a calm, consistent and understanding way.

  • Work closely with teachers, the SENCO and external professionals to make sure each child gets the support they need.

  • Help create a warm, safe and inclusive environment where children feel comfortable and confident.

About You:

We’re hoping to find someone who is:

  • Passionate about helping children with social, emotional and behavioural needs.

  • Calm, patient and able to stay positive—even on busy days.

  • A great communicator who builds trust with both children and adults.

  • A friendly and proactive team player who’s happy to jump in where needed.

  • Reflective, resilient and always willing to learn.

What We’ll Need From You:

  • A DBS check (or an updated one you already hold).

  • Two references.

  • Proof of your right to work in the UK.

If you’re kind, warm, compassionate and excited about making a difference, we’d love to hear from you. Please upload your CV!
