Salary: £89-£110

This full-time role for a Graduate Teaching Assistant ideal for graduates who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs, and who are considering a future career in teaching, psychology, education, or therapy.

You’ll be joining a nurturing, collaborative team committed to helping every student reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with a range of SEN needs, such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD or speech, language and communication needs.
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to help develop academic, social, and emotional skills.
  • Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive, structured, and safe learning environment.
  • Adapt resources and activities to meet individual learning needs.
  • Use strategies to support positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Help prepare learning materials and contribute to lesson planning when required.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver consistent, high-quality support.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • A recent graduate (education, psychology, social sciences, or related fields preferred).
  • A genuine interest in SEN, with a patient, compassionate, and resilient attitude.
  • Strong communication and rapport-building skills.
  • Ability to stay calm, flexible, and positive in challenging situations.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
