Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Berkeley, Gloucestershire   
Annual Salary: £20,941.30 - £22,835.30 actual salary - dependant on experience and qualifications Plus £1000 Welcome bonus*
Hours: 40 hours per week  - Term time only

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and delivery of educational materials and activities under the guidance of the lead teacher.
*
Provide tailored support to individual students, addressing their specific learning requirements.
*
Encourage and support students in developing their social skills and independence.
*
Monitor and record student progress, sharing insights with the teaching team to adapt learning plans as necessary.
*
Collaborate with other team members to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
*
Participate in training and development sessions to enhance professional skills and knowledge.

Requirements:
*
Passion for education and commitment to supporting the development of children with special educational needs.
*
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
*
Previous experience in an educational setting, particularly with SEN, is desirable but not essential.
*
A qualification relevant to education or child care (e.g., NVQ, BTEC, CACHE) is preferred, but we also welcome applicants with other backgrounds who have a genuine interest in transitioning to this field.
*
A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
