SEN Teaching Assistant – Bedfordshire Primary School
 Location: Bedfordshire
  Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
  Contract: Full-time / Term-time only / Temporary to permanent
  CPD Training Available
About the Role
We are seeking a caring, patient, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming primary school in Bedfordshire.
 The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and the SENCo to support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access learning and reach their full potential in a nurturing, inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
- 
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs. 
- 
Assist teachers in planning and delivering differentiated lessons and activities. 
- 
Support pupils’ emotional, social, and academic development. 
- 
Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies. 
- 
Encourage independence, confidence, and positive attitudes to learning. 
- 
Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals. 
Experience and Qualifications
- 
Experience: Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting is desirable. 
- 
Qualification: A relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred but not essential. 
- 
Skills: Compassionate, patient, and adaptable, with a genuine desire to support children’s progress and wellbeing.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
