Job description

Full-time and Part-time SEN Teaching Assistant wanted in Aylesbury!

 We are currently seeking an excited and vibrant Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant educational community in Aylesbury.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support individual students or small groups with their academic and social development.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to implement lesson plans and educational activities.
  • Foster a positive and respectful atmosphere within the classroom.
  • Provide additional help to students with varying learning needs.
  • Contribute to the overall welfare and pastoral care of students.
  • Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An understanding of SEN/SEMH needs and a willingness to learn, adapt and overcome
  • A patient and empathetic approach to working with students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of educational principles and practices.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the classroom.
  • A commitment to promoting an inclusive and diverse learning environment.

Working Hours:

  • This is a part-time and full-time position, during school hours (08:30 - 15:30). A minimum of 3 days per school week and a maximum of 5 (Monday to Friday).

Location:

  • The role is based at an SEN school in Aylesbury.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
