Job description

1:1 Teaching Assistant – Part Time (3–4 Days per Week)

Do you have a passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential? Teaching Personnel are looking for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner secondary schools on a part-time basis, working 3–4 days per week.

This rewarding role will see you working closely with a student who requires additional support, helping them to access the curriculum, develop their confidence, and succeed in school life.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to a student with additional learning needs.

  • Help the pupil engage with lessons, build confidence, and develop independence.

  • Support teachers in planning and delivering targeted interventions.

  • Use positive behaviour management strategies to encourage progress.

  • Work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to provide the best outcomes.

This role is ideal for:

  • Experienced Teaching Assistants or Learning Support Assistants.

  • Graduates looking for hands-on SEN experience before pursuing teacher training, psychology, or further study.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
