Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Liverpool (Secondary School)
Contract Type: Temporary / Permanent (via Teaching Personnel)
Start Date: ASAP/September
Salary: Competitive, based on experience and school pay scale
About the Role:
Teaching Personnel are looking for a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs in a secondary school in Liverpool. This is a rewarding role that involves working closely with teachers and students to help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Support SEN students in the classroom to access the curriculum effectively

Assist with learning activities tailored to individual student needs
-
Help with managing behavior and supporting positive social interaction
-
Prepare resources and assist with administrative tasks related to SEN provision
-
Work alongside teachers and specialists to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
-
Provide one-to-one or small group support as required
Requirements:
-
Previous experience supporting SEN students preferred but not essential
-
Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
-
Ability to work well in a team and follow guidance from teaching staff
-
A proactive approach to supporting students’ learning and well-being
-
Basic understanding of SEN needs and strategies is a plus

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
