Role Overview

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver tailored teaching to pupils with SEN in the classroom and during break/lunchtime activities

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment

  • Plan and implement individualized learning programmes in collaboration with support staff and therapists

  • Monitor and assess pupils’ progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary

  • Maintain classroom resources to ensure a safe and organized environment

  • Work closely with teaching assistants to support pupils’ learning and behaviour

Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable but not essential

  • Hold a valid DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply

  • Demonstrate genuine passion and drive to work with children

  • Confident in using own initiative to actively engage and support pupils

Recruitment Process

To comply with safer recruitment guidelines, applicants will undergo:

  • Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (can be arranged through Teaching Personnel)

  • Two recent employment references covering the last 24 months

  • Overseas criminal record check for those who have lived outside the UK for 6 months or more within the last 5 years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
