What You'll Be Doing

As an SEN Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to:

Deliver engaging, personalised lessons tailored to individual ALN needs

Create a positive, inclusive learning environment where pupils feel safe, supported and inspired

Work collaboratively with therapists, support staff and specialist practitioners

Embed sensory strategies, communication techniques and therapeutic approaches into your teaching

Help pupils develop independence, confidence and essential life skills

Monitor progress and adapt learning to ensure every pupil can succeed

Build strong relationships with families, colleagues and learners

Contribute to the school's continued success and development

What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from teachers who have:

✔ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

✔ Registration with the EWC (or eligibility to register)

✔ An Enhanced Child & Adult DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

✔ Experience within SEN education, or a genuine passion for building a career within the ALN/SEN sector

✔ Experience working within a Hearing-Impaired service, or a strong willingness to learn

✔ Makaton skills (desirable) not essential

✔ The ability to travel to the school and between sites when required
