Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Daily Rate: £150 – £220 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Full-time or part-time, Flexible / Temp-to-Perm Opportunities Available
Start Date: September 2025

About the Role:
We are currently looking for a committed and experienced SEN Teacher to work in a specialist provision in Leeds. This role involves teaching children and young people with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning difficulties. You will be responsible for delivering creative, personalised lessons that support both academic and emotional development.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons based on pupils’ individual needs and EHCPs

  • Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment

  • Work closely with support staff, parents, and external professionals

  • Implement behaviour management and communication strategies

  • Track and report on pupil progress and wellbeing

Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification

  • Proven experience working with SEN pupils in a school or alternative provision

  • Knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and safeguarding

  • Confident using strategies like PECS, Makaton, or sensory integration (desirable)

  • Calm, resilient, and flexible in your approach
