Teaching personnel is the UK's leading education recruitment agency who provide support staff, teaching staff and tutors into schools across the UK!

Teaching Personnel are working with a number of SEN Schools and Alternative Education Provisions across Barking that are looking for qualified Teachers to work with them.

The needs of the pupils within the provisions vary from complex needs to challenging behaviour and SEMH needs.

These schools support the growth and development of pupils aged between 5-16 years and are responsible for devising a personalised curriculum for each child.

The work pattern will be Monday- Friday Time: 08:30-15:30 and there is the potential for these roles to go permanent at your favourite school!

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have lots of patience, be proactive and resilient - this role can be challenging, but it is very rewarding
  • QTS or a PCGE
  • Ideally you will have experience working within a SEN/SEMH school
  • A strong ability to develop relationships and rapport with both pupils and parents

Role of an SEN Teacher:

  • Responsible for a class of 4-6 pupils
  • Working with pupils with ASC, complex needs, challenging behaviour and SEMH
  • Responsible for key support staff
  • Managing pupil behaviour through escalation techniques

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
