SEN Teacher - full time – Pinner - Immediate start - GBP130 to GBP160 per day (negotiable dependant on experience and training)

At Teaching Personnel we are currently recruiting for a number of different positions, including a SEN Teacher for an outstanding special need Primary school in Northwood, Hillingdon.

The role?

This full time SEN Teacher role will involve planning and teaching personalised learning programmes to a small class of up to 8 pupils in Key Stage 2. Planning will be a collaborative effort working alongside skilled professionals to create a programme to support learning and development at the right level and pace.

You will be supported in class by up to 4 experienced and trained special needs teaching assistants who will help deliver programmes to pupils using state-of-the-art equipment and resources. 

You will be required:

  • Have relevant UK teaching qualifications (QTS, PGCE, Overseas trained teachers with UK Naric etc.)
  • Have primary or secondary teaching experience particularly with special educational needs and Education Healthcare plan (EHCP)
  • To plan and teach lessons to pupils with significant sensory and medical needs one-to-one, in small groups and/ or as a whole group
  • To communicate and work effectively with families, skilled specialists and staff to best support pupils
  • To be available full-time and be open to career development within the school

The school?

The school provides for children between 2 and 14 years with sensory and significant medical needs on a full or part-time basis. They provide learning through a range of specialist indoor and outdoor facilities, offering a fun and inspiring place for children to learn, play and achieve their full potential.

Based in the lovely residential area of Northwood, Hillingdon it is nestled close to Ruislip Woods with a large Waitrose and restaurants nearby. It is a 10 minute walk away from Northwood Station on the Metropolitan line with the school also providing on site parking for staff.
