Job description

Requirements:
Essential:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, recognized in the UK.
*Demonstrable experience in teaching KS2 or KS3, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
*Proven track record of adapting teaching methods to suit the needs of SEN students, including those with ASD, ADHD, and dyslexia.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
*A commitment to ongoing professional development and a keen interest in the latest educational research and practices related to SEN education.

Desirable:
*A postgraduate qualification in SEN education or a related field.
*Experience in using assistive technology in the classroom.
*Knowledge of or experience in implementing Positive Behaviour Support strategies.
*Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team, including therapists and psychologists, to support the holistic development of students.

Responsibilities:
*Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of learners in KS2/3 with a variety of SEN.
*Assess student progress, set targets, and provide feedback that supports and challenges students to achieve their best.
*Develop and adapt resources to ensure accessible learning for all students.
*Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) that promote students' academic, social, and emotional development.
*Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development sessions.
