SEN Teacher – Primary Schools | Sheffield & Barnsley | Immediate & September Starts
Are you a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher ready to make a real impact in the lives of children with additional needs? Primary schools across Sheffield and Barnsley are actively seeking skilled professionals to support and inspire pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Location: Sheffield & Barnsley
Role: SEN Primary Teacher (EYFS, KS1 or KS2 depending on your expertise)
Start Date: Immediate and/or September 2025
⏰ Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term & Temp-to-Perm
✏️ Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver personalised lessons tailored to pupils with EHCPs or additional needs
- Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
- Collaborate with TAs, SENCOs, therapists and families to meet learning goals
- Monitor and report on pupil progress, adapting approaches as needed
- Support emotional, social and academic development with sensitivity and consistency
✅ You Will Need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching pupils with SEN in a primary school setting
- Strong understanding of EHCPs and inclusive teaching strategies
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine commitment to supporting every child
- A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
