SEN Teacher – September 2026 Start
Bournemouth, Dorset
A well-resourced and inclusive secondary setting in Bournemouth is seeking a dedicated and skilled SEN Teacher to join its team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive environment that prioritises student wellbeing, personalised learning, and high-quality teaching for pupils with additional needs.
The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties. You will be responsible for planning and delivering tailored lessons, adapting the curriculum to meet individual needs, and working closely with teaching assistants, families, and external professionals.
Key responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet diverse learning needs

Develop and implement EHCP targets and personalised learning strategies
-
Monitor and track student progress, ensuring positive outcomes
-
Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
-
Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents/carers
The ideal candidate will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
-
Have experience working with students with SEN in a school setting
-
Demonstrate strong behaviour management and communication skills
-
Be patient, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
