We are recruiting for a Secondary PRU Teacher in Camden, London

Teaching Personnel are urgently looking for an enthusiastic, adaptable & resilient Secondary PRU Teacher to deliver across the curriculum at a secondary PRU in the Camden area.

Role - PRU Teacher at secondary PRU in Camden, London.

Times - Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm.

Contract - Summer Term Start Date - Option to go permanent after 12 weeks. 

Pay - Paid to Scale. M1 - UP3 - Depending on experience.

The School & Pupils

  • Secondary PRU in Bury area for children aged 11-16.
  • All students have an EHCP for Social, Emotional or Mental Health needs, SEMH.
  • Students working at lower than expected levels for their age.
  • Class sizes of no more than 8 pupils including TA support.
  • Lessons of no more than 40 minutes in length.
  • Experienced & supportive management.
  • Collaborative teamwork atmosphere.
  • Easily accessible by car, bus or train.

Requirements

  • Positive confident classroom management skills.
  • Teacher able to differentiate lessons to the changing needs of students.
  • Students will be of mixed ability and needs.
  • Managing challenging behaviour, engaging, motivating & building strong relationships with pupils.
  • Working collaboratively with your Teaching Assistants, management, parents and outside agencies.
  • Must promote a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

To join us and be successful in this Secondary PRU Teacher role in Camden, London, you will need to:

  • Hold QTS Status or QTLS.
  • Have an enhanced DBS certificate that is on the Update Service.
  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
  • Minimum of two professional references checks.
  • Provide a CV with full education & work.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Some experience teaching pupils with SEMH needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
