SEN Teacher for SLD Students
Teaching Personnel are working with schools in Sheffield that provide support for young people aged 11-19 with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Interaction difficulties. We are looking for qualified or newly qualified Teachers to work within these schools to improve the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs.
These provisions work hard to ensure young people get every opportunity to achieve their full potential in life and this is an ethos that all candidates must share.
The ideal candidate will have experience in SEN provisions, preferably with students that have SLD.
You will provide accessible lessons to your students, reducing their anxiety within the classroom and promoting their social, emotional and personal development. You will support this by ensuring each student strengthens their independent and living skills which are key to building confidence and self-esteem. Your lessons will be stimulating and engaging for pupils at varying academic stages.
Pupils in these schools may display challenging behaviour so you must be confident in using positive de-escalation strategies. Teaching Personnel offer a Team Teach course to provide this additional training which is widely recognised in all schools.
Teaching Personnel offer additional benefits including:
- Competitive daily rates ranging from £110-165
- The opportunity to participate in extra training such as Team Teach and Moving and Handling
- A temp-to-perm scheme where you could secure permanent positions within schools
- Access to our online CPD Academy focusing on your permanent development
- A Specialist SEN Recruitment Consultant to support your recruitment journey
If this seems like the role for you and you would like to find out more, please call Nicole on 0114 241 3341, click APPLY now or send an up to date CV
