Join Our Team as an SEN Teaching Assistant!

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN)? Do you thrive in a supportive and inclusive educational environment? If so, we want YOU to join our dynamic team as an SEN Teaching Assistant in our mainstream schools!

 

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and participate fully in classroom activities.

Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans for students with SEN.

Assist with classroom management and behavior support, promoting positive behavior and social skills development.

Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.

Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents, contributing to the ongoing assessment and evaluation process.

Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people with SEN, either in a school setting or another relevant environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.

Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of children with SEN.

Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
