SEN Support Worker – Immediate Start – Preston (PR3)

Are you passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you want to make a real difference in a rewarding, hands-on role? We are currently recruiting a dedicated SEN Support Worker to join a welcoming and inclusive educational setting in the Preston PR3 area.

Start Date: Immediate (subject to DBS and vetting clearance)
Location: Preston, PR3
Role Type: Full-time / Part-time (Flexible hours available)
Pay: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, and SEMH.

  • Assist in the delivery of tailored learning plans and behaviour strategies.

  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to promote student engagement and development.

  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where all pupils can thrive.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in schools, youth work, residential care, or similar settings).

  • A proactive, compassionate, and patient approach to support.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.

  • Able to start immediately following successful vetting and DBS clearance.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
