Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you an experienced support worker, care assistant, youth worker or teaching assistant looking to move into a rewarding school-based role? We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and well-established primary SEN school in Preston that supports children with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs.

This is a full-time position starting through an agency with the opportunity to move to a permanent contract for the right candidate.

The Role

• Supporting children with additional learning needs in the classroom
• Assisting with personal care where required
• Helping to manage behaviour positively and proactively
• Encouraging engagement, communication and independence
• Supporting pupils with EHCP targets and individual learning plans

• Sports coaches with SEN experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
