Support worker for children who have special needs – starts Easter 2020

Are you looking for a support worker position?

Would you like to work with children in an outstanding SEN school in Kingsbury?

Can you use hoist equipment and provide personal care?

I am currently looking for a member of support staff to work in a Kingsbury all age special needs school. You will be working with children who are wheel chair users and have physical and medical needs.

If you have any of the following, you may be suitable for this kind of work:

  • Previous work experience as a healthcare assistant, residential support worker, nurse, SEN teaching assistant
  • Ability to use hoist equipment and provide personal care – this is essential
  • Availability 5 days a week Monday – Friday between 08:30am and 15:30pm
  • Training in child protection, safeguarding, multi-sensory impairment, PECs, Makaton, moving and handling
  • Any relevant qualifications for working in education or health and social care

  • Start as a temporary worker through the agency, but take the opportunity to apply for a permanent role when you are ready
  • Make use of excellent facilities including bespoke practical classrooms, a large outdoor area, dark and light sensory rooms, hydrotherapy pool
  • Support the work of speech and language therapists and occupational therapists, as well as a full medical team who are also employed at the school
