Behaviour Support Mentor

Role: Behaviour Specialist Support, KS3-4

Salary: GBP60-65 per day

Students have had their routines disrupted by school closures and some need additional support to settle back into education. A secondary school in Haywards Heath are working in partnership with Teaching Personnel to recruit a new behaviour support mentor. The role will start ASAP as the schools are reopening and is full-time. The role will be supporting students with additional needs 1:1 and within small groups in a mainstream KS3-4 classroom.

The school:

• Helpful staff and friendly students

• Supportive department and additional training

• Must be able to drive

The ideal candidate:

Will –

• Be understanding and supportive

• Communicate progress to staff and parents

• Have a sensitive approach whilst working with students 1:1 and in small groups

• Be composed managing sometimes challenging behaviour

Must –

• Have experience of working within a similar environment or supporting individuals with similar needs and be confident working with children with a range of Special Needs

• The right to work within the UK

• The ability to provide two references from your most recent employers

• All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid child workforce Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
