Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant – Outreach (Full Time)
Location: Plymouth & surrounding areas
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay: £90 – £95 per day (paid weekly)

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs? We are looking for a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team, supporting children and young people from primary through to secondary age.

This is a full-time outreach role, working Monday to Friday during school hours. You will be providing one-to-one and small group support, helping children to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their goals both academically and personally.

The role includes:

  • Supporting children with a range of SEN needs, including social, emotional, and behavioural needs

  • Working in outreach settings with students who may not always be in mainstream classrooms

  • Assisting with tailored learning plans, interventions, and alternative provision activities

  • Building strong, supportive relationships with both students and staff

  • Encouraging independence, engagement, and resilience in learners

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people (school, care, youth work or similar)

  • A patient, caring, and resilient approach to supporting children with additional needs

  • A full UK driving licence, access to a car, and business insurance (essential due to outreach nature of the role)

  • A genuine passion for education and helping children reach their potential
