Location: Knowle

Salary: GBP57-65 per day

An excellent school in the Knowle area requires a 1:1 support for a child with complex needs. The child you would be supporting struggles with engagement and focus therefore the school requires someone who can be positive and create fun pathways into learning and engagement tools. This child is also working at a lower academic level so someone who can support academically in order to raise levels of attainment is ideal. This school offers a supportive team of staff who are passionate about helping each individual thrive and a vibrant and engaging learning environment. This role requires an enthusiastic, engaging and passionate individual who will be able to make a positive contribution to the continuing development of the school. You will become a vital part of a friendly and motivated team that are passionate about enriching children’s learning experience. This school requires the ideal candidate to have experience of working with children with Autism or complex needs or experience delivering 1:1 SEN support; the right candidate without this experience may also be considered.

Your duties supporting a child with autism:
•Delivering social and academic support on a 1:1 basis to a child with autism
• Liaising with the SENCO and class teacher to ensure positive opportunities for inclusion.
• To liaise with parents/carers make and report observations
• To work with statemented children’s EHCP’s and provide the best learning experience
