A friendly and inviting primary school, near Warwick Avenue Station, is currently recruiting for an SEN support assistant.

The role will involve working on a 1:1 basis with a Year 4 pupil with Autism. The child will need support with their academic achievement, as well as support emotionally and socially.

The school is an Ofsted graded 'Outstanding' school and they are looking for a member of staff who can provide this leave of excellent support to their pupils.

This 2 form entry school is dedicated to creating a small school feel with a capacity of 420 children. This is to ensure that their staff know each child well in order to maintain a high standard of teaching. The lovely SLT and other staff members are always available to offer guidance and knowledge to help you progress.

The staff and pupils benefit from a range of extra-curricular activities such as: Drama, Chess, Street Dance, Knitting and many more. This allows both pupils and staff to step away from the classroom and find a new hobby. The school also encourages music tuition where the pupils can learn to play the piano, recorder and violin.

As they are close to Warwick Avenue, the school benefits from easy travel to some of the great learning environments that London has to offer. The school have recently visited Butser farm, the Natural History Museum, London Science Museum and a number of London's galleries, theatres and parks.

Shortlisting criteria include:

  • Experience working with ASC and/or challenging behaviour
  • Willingness to be involved with extra-curricular activities
  • Passion for helping raise pupil attainment

Interviews for this role will begin on 7th January. If this sounds like the school for you then do not hesitate to send Jenny your CV by clicking the apply button.
