Job description

SEN support assistant - Bury

  • Bury (BL9) primary school
  • £285 - £300 a week
  • 9th September 2019

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a client primary school in Bury (BL9), looking for a teaching assistant to support a child in the nursery class with global development delay.

Children with global development delay can take longer to reach certain development milestones than other children their age. This might include learning to walk or talk, movement skills, learning new things and interacting with others socially and emotionally. Because of this, the Head teacher is looking for a teaching assistant with SEN experience who has a calm, nurturing and patient approach to learning.

This role will involve:

  • Supporting the pupils emotional needs
  • Helping the pupil communicate and socialise with other pupils
  • Developing the pupils fine motor skills through 1:1 interventions

This Bury (BL9) primary school is larger than average and is an inclusive and happy school which focuses on ensuring all their pupils are happy, safe and reach their individual potential. It not only aims to develop positive attitudes to the pupils in school and to the communities they contribute too.

If this sounds like the role for you, do not hesitate to email your CV or call Luke at the Manchester West primary branch at 0161 242 1792.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
