SEN Student Support Assistant

We are currently supporting an 'Outstanding' SEMH school who are seeking support staff for various student support needs over the course of this academic year. The school caters for boys and girls aged 8-16 years (KS2/3/4) who are resident at various local childrens homes in assocation with their school placement.

The educational content offered exposes pupils' to a broad, balanced, differentiated and relevant curriculum which presents them with challenges in which creativity is fostered and which is based on the essential elements of the National Curriculum. Programmes are tailored to each student's individual needs and taking into account their Statement of Special Educational Needs.

The ideal candidate will have:
* Strong ability and skills to keep students involved and "on track"
* Excellent support and motivational skills
* Previous experience working with SEMH needs
* Flexibility to adapt to unique situations and requirements
* Team Teach experience (although this will be provided via on job training)
* An outstanding track record being reliable, professional, hardworking and punctual
* Hold a current enhanced DBS on the update service or be prepared to apply for a new one
