Specialist training for potential behaviour buddy/HLTA

Are you a qualified HLTA?

Have you wanted to work with children with anxiety or social emotional and mental health needs?

Teaching Personnel are looking for Team Teach trained HLTA to work within in a Special Educational Needs or Pupil Referral School in the High Wycombe area.

Your main job role as a HLTA is not only to support 1:1 or 2:1, you will be supporting small classes of children with additional needs such as ADHD, ADC and SEMH.

Although you will be supported by the main class teacher you will also be supported by other support staff members, Team Teach is a course that teaches you techniques to enable you to calm down a situation before it gets to crisis point and how to manually manage holding children in the correct manor, Teaching Personnel do hold these courses so if you are interested however dont have this certificate please enquire to join our next course!

Our school in High Wycombe have a very controlled environment and although they do require all staff to have Team Teach training, they also support with their own training. The children are secondary aged and have a very structured daily routine. The children have days out to the local area’s to help with life skills and integrating with society.
