Our Specialist SEN branch here at Teaching Personnel work closely with a "super" school within the Swansea area that caters students aged 3-19 who have a wide range of Special Educational Needs. Within this school the children & young people are able to access vocational alternative lessons that are differentiated accordingly. You will work with every child baring in mind that they are an individual ensuring that their educational and therapeutic needs are met so that they can flourish both within the school and when they leave. A sensory approach to learning is fundamental for many of their pupils in order to help them make sense of the world around them and is embedded within their adapted curriculum.
Desired experience include:
- Sports graduates
- Psychology graduates
- Youth Workers
- Residential support workers
- Personal experience in supporting Special Educational Needs & Disabilities
You must be able to use your own initiative and willing to get "stuck in" on occasions - some of these children & young people can display challenging behaviour you must be able to assist the school staff in defusing & de-escalating any situation as they arise. Having experience in supporting children and young people with a variety of additional needs is beneficial.
Does this sound like the job for you? Get in touch with the South Wales SEN Branch now and ask for Chris and I'll be happy to help!
I look forward to hearing from you!
