KS2 Teaching Assistant Vacancies in Accrington - Supporting Challenging Behaviour

  • Roles supporting 'Hard To Reach Children'
  • Roles supporting children with ADHD
  • Roles supporting 'Looked After Children'

Teaching Personnel are working with numerous Primary Schools across Accrington and Rossendale providing specialist behavioural support particularly in key stage 2. Positions arise supporting children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups and part-time and full-time opportunities are currently available.

The ideal candidate will be outgoing, confident and resilient. They must be able to build relationships confidently and work effectively with others as part of a team. Experience in a similar setting is ideal and candidates with a Team Teach Certificate or similar training are highly sought after.

If you have worked in a Pupil Referral Unit or come from a background in residential care and are interested in getting into mainstream education then I would like to hear from you. Maybe you are a Sports Coach or have a military background and can confidently instil discipline and order in others, if so then do not hesitate to get in touch.

Many of the children we provide support for have additional needs such as; ADHD, ASC and SEMH, many are Looked After Children or children coming from broken homes and challenging backgrounds including Hard To Reach Children. Experience working directly with children with additional needs such as these are also highly sought after.
