Experienced Care Workers available to support pupils with Additional Needs in specialist setting in North Leeds

  • Do you have a background in care or support work?
  • Are you comfortable providing personal care?
  • Are you available for a minimum of 3 days a week during term time?

A specialist SEN School in North Leeds are seeking an experienced support worker to join their existing team.

The school provides an alternative curriculum for pupils aged 2-19 with additional learning needs including Autism, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs.

You must have previous experience supporting those with additional needs in an education, health or care setting, have a resilient nature and be prepared to provide personal care. Additional training in Moving and Handling, Team Teach and/or Makaton would also be beneficial.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
