1:1 EYFS Teaching Assistant – NG7 Area, Nottingham
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: £83.98 - £100 per day

Are you a nurturing and enthusiastic teaching assistant with a passion for supporting early years learners?
Teaching Personnel is currently working with a warm and inclusive primary school in the NG7 area of Nottingham to recruit a committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in their Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting. This long-term position is ideal for someone looking to make a real difference from day one.
About the Role:
- Providing consistent 1:1 support for a Reception-aged pupil with additional needs
- Supporting communication and interaction through visual aids, routine prompts, and modelling language
- Assisting with personal care routines, including toileting
- Helping the child regulate emotions and manage transitions using calm strategies and sensory tools
- Encouraging engagement with classroom activities and positive interaction with peers
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCO to deliver tailored support and track progress
The Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience supporting children in EYFS or working 1:1 with pupils with SEND

Confident using a range of strategies to support communication, emotional regulation, and sensory needs

Patient, empathetic, and resilient
-
Has a Level 2/3 TA qualification (or equivalent experience)

Strong teamwork and communication skills
